How long will it take to find a Nanny?
Generally, we estimate it can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks from registration to hire. Please let us know if there is an urgent need, and we will try to help with temporary childcare.

What is your replacement policy?
We understand from time to time a placement might not work. If you find in the first year of your Nanny's employment it's not the right fit for your family, you will receive a credit to apply towards your next search with Dallas Mom to Mom Domestic Agency (permanent placements only). More details can be found in our Client Agreement.

What is the typical Nanny salary?
Nannies salaries will typically range from $12 to $18 per hour (or $500-$1000 gross per week) for a 40-50 hour work week. Salary will depend on the education level, experience, number of children and responsibilities outside of childcare (cleaning, cooking, etc).

Are we required to offer benefits?
Though not required, most families will typically offer 2 weeks paid vacation, paid major holidays, and reimbursement for mileage/gas if employee is using their own vehicles for errands or driving the children. To make their offer more attractive, some families also offer a cell phone and health insurance.

How are your candidates screened?
Candidates fill out an extensive on-line application followed by a face to face interview with one of our placement agents. As a part of the interview, we evaluate professionalism, conduct and demeanor, and verify all childcare and personal references. Lastly, we have an independent company conduct the background investigation. They verify employment history, legal work eligibility, education, social security number confirmation and criminal record.

What about taxes and social security?
The employee and the family are responsible for paying the employee taxes. For all payroll and accounting questions, we refer you to Breedlove and Associates, an online provider of nanny payroll and tax services. (http://www.breedlove-online.com/, 1-888-BREEDLOVE).

Are candidates Infant CPR and First Aid certified?
If candidates are not already certified, their job offer would be contingent upon them becoming certified within 30 days of their employment start date.

What about Night Nannies or Newborn Specialists?
Night Nannies and Newborn Specialists play a very special role in your home. They are trained specialists who come into your home the first few weeks of your infants life to assist you with the day-to-day care of your new baby. They assist in establishing a routine eating/sleeping/wake schedule, and can help educate new parents on caring for an infant . Their average hourly rate is between $17-$30 per hour, depending on the duties and number of children, or $250-$300 for 24 hour care. Due to the high demand of these top quality professionals, they are sometimes booked four to six months in advance. Because we consider Night Nannies and Newborn Specialists temporary employees (less than 6 months employment), our agency fee ranges from $15-$40 per day, depending on the hours worked. We will charge our Agency fee to your credit card on file at the time of service. Please let us know your needs and we can accommodate you!
